To My Dear Readers, These days, I find myself returning to one of the most powerful stories in the Bible—the story of David and Goliath. It is a story of courage, faith, and determination, reminding us of the strength that can be found within the human spirit when facing challenges that seem greater than ourselves. As an artist devoted to biblical art, I return again and again to the figures and stories that have accompanied our people throughout the generations. Inspired by my deep connection to the heritage of Israel, and with gratitude for the privilege of living in the Land of our Ancestors, I created the painting "David's Sling." David was not a celebrated warrior. He was a young shepherd standing before Goliath, a giant who inspired fear in many. Yet David carried with him something more powerful than any weapon: faith. He believed in the righteousness of his cause, in his purpose, and in the power of trusting God even when facing overwhelming odds.

David was not a celebrated warrior. He was a young shepherd standing before Goliath, a giant who inspired fear in many. Yet David carried with him something more powerful than any weapon: faith. He believed in the righteousness of his cause, in his purpose, and in the power of trusting God even when facing overwhelming odds. The sling in David's hand was a simple tool, yet it became an enduring symbol of courage, resourcefulness, and faith. It reminds us that victory is not always determined by the size of our resources, but by the strength of our convictions and the courage to act upon them. In this painting, I sought to capture that moment of inner decision—the moment when faith overcomes fear, hope triumphs over doubt, and courage rises above hesitation. When I reflect on David's story, I see in it a reflection of the enduring spirit of the Jewish people: a spirit that preserved its identity, faith, and hope throughout the generations. A spirit that continued to beat through centuries of exile and ultimately returned to the Land of Israel, fulfilling an ancient dream. For me, "David's Sling" is more than a painting. It is a symbol of faith, resilience, and hope. It reminds us that even when challenges appear overwhelming, the strength of the human spirit, guided by faith and determination, can lead us forward.
