In this painting, the connected arms of the figures are emphasized, symbolizing an unbreakable bond—both physical and spiritual—to the Land of Israel. This is the first in a series of biblical scenes where I began to highlight the strong historical connection of the Jewish people to the land. The use of dynamic colors and bold lines emphasizes the struggle between separation and longing, between sorrow and resilience.
